Kaarle II (born Karl Adolf Andreas of Hesse); born 26 March 1937), is the King of Finland, succeeding his uncle King Fredrik II in 1989.

Kaarle II is the formal head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland and the Finnish Defense Forces. He has two children, Crown Prince Kristoff and Princess Irina.
